RBB Crossmediales Newscenter (CNC), Berlin

HENN Architekten Berlin

As an intermediate step towards the Digital Media House, rbb is building its Crossmedia Newscenter 1.0 in the Berlin TV Tower. On a total area of 2,400 m2, located on the 7th and 8th floors of the building, news and articles will be produced for all media outlets.. Redesigned and spatially moved together, around 170 employees will find the right working environment for direct coordination and quick availability. The core of the CNC is the 400 m2 newsroom. The expanded metal acoustic ceiling sails from FURAL installed there perfectly match the industrial look and feel of the contemporary office loft. They form their own visual unit. Visually harmonious and concise, they perfectly meet the room acoustic requirements. They reflect the grid of the individual workstations in the ceiling area. The ceiling acts as a shelter from above, creating a feel-good factor for the employees.

The studio design of the CNC already quotes the planned media house, which is to be built by 2026 and planned by HENN Architekten Berlin and Steimle Architekten Stuttgart.
