Check-in 3 - Vienna International Airport
Itten Brechbühl AG / B & E Baumschlager Eberle GmbH/Wien, 2012
With the opening of “Check-in 3”, also known as Skylink, Vienna International Airport is presenting itself as open-minded to passengers. The architecture picks up on this principle. FURAL supplied more than 150 tile elements with approx. 40,000 ceiling tiles for the large project. Room acoustics and architecture are perfectly combined under this roof.
The new terminal is connected directly via an elegantly curved building to the existing Terminal 2. Conically formed strip grids elegantly follow the curved outline of the building. FURAL strip grid tiles in perforation 0704 were also installed in the whole pier area and in the passenger boarding bridges.
