Vector Informatik
Schmelzle+Partner/Dornstetten, 2016
Vector Informatik develops software for the automotive industry that makes vehicles more energy-efficient, and hence more sustainable. This core competence was to be reflected also in the new company building. The headquarters of Vector Informatik in Stuttgart that was completed in 2016 was designed by the Schmelzle+Partner architects’ office and is so well-planned that it was awarded the platinum DGNB certificate, the highest one available. In addition, the outstanding design and architectural quality was commended with the award of the diamond DGNB certificate. It is the first building worldwide to receive both awards.
FURAL metal ceiling systems were installed over a total area of more than 13,000 m². Strip-grid ceilings, hang-in ceilings and corridor ceilings were installed, depending on the area of application. In many areas the ceiling is designed as a cooling ceiling. The tiles have Rg 2,5 - 16 % perforations with bonded acoustic fleece for optimum acoustic conditions.
