Schneewittchen Residential High-Rise in the Nordbahnviertel, Vienna
The residential high-rise "Schneewittchen" in Vienna's Nordbahnviertel district is one of the city's most distinctive new construction projects. As a flagship project of Wiener Städtische Versicherung, designed by Bevk Perovic Arhitekti in collaboration with StudioVlayStreeruwitz, the building combines affordable living space with the highest demands on sustainability and construction quality.
The nearly 100-meter-high tower in Vienna's second district was completed in 2025 and offers 327 rental apartments and lofts within a consistently sustainable overall concept (photovoltaics, thermally activated building systems, district heating and cooling, ESG standards). The building comprises a basement level, ground floor, mezzanine level, and 30 upper floors. Commercial spaces, offices, and community areas are located in the podium levels, while the upper floors are exclusively for residential use.
The project is currently considered Vienna's tallest and one of the most affordable residential high-rises, serving as a model for future-oriented residential construction.
Fural KLW Langfeld Cassettes – Functional Wall Cladding for High-Rise Construction
For the wall cladding in front of lift lobbies on all floors, Fural KLW Langfeld cassettes with a hang-in system and wall rails were used. The system was selected for its economical assembly, clear, high-quality appearance, and easy maintenance access at all times.
The unperforated, smooth metal cassettes provide a calm, durable appearance in high-traffic access zones while meeting technical requirements for maintenance and service friendliness. In multi-story residential construction, KLW Langfeld cassettes offer a decisive advantage: individual elements can be quickly removed and reinstalled without damage.
Approximately 500 m² of wall cladding was installed in colors RAL 7016, RAL 9006, and RAL 9010. The consistent use across all floors emphasizes the design consistency and high quality of execution of the project.
