Neurological Clinic Wagner-Jauregg

Linz, since 2005

The Landes-Nervenklinik (Neurological Clinic) Wagner-Jauregg Linz is one of the most renowned Austrian hospitals steeped deep into tradition. The historical building consisting of several building components was constructed during the second half of the 19th century. Divided into seven construction phases, this building complex is totally renovated from 2005 to 2017. Architect Prof. Clemens Holzbauer is responsible for the renovation plan with a basic ground floor of 42,000 square metres and an investment volume of approx. € 88 million. In the middle of 2013, the fifth construction phase has transferred to daily operation.

More than 1,000m² of metal ceiling was used during the current phase. Therefore, a total of 6,000m² of FURAL metal ceilings provide the best room acoustic in all of the completed phases of the entire renovation project. Long span tiles in an interlocking clip system in the RAL colour 9010 with perforation Rg 2,5 - 16 % and black acoustic fleece have been installed The building situation demanded all of the ceiling system's flexibility. For example, the sub-construction had to be installed at suspension heights of less than seven centimetres.
