Maas/Kempen Hospital
Gortemaker Algra Feenstra/Rotterdam, 2016
The new hospital in the Flemish town of Maaseik unites the previous locations in Maas and Kempen on one 33,000m² site. The new campus is divided into five individual buildings, each with clearly defined functions and a maximum of 3 levels. This results in a pleasant atmosphere, with the building structure complementing the surrounding landscape in an optimum manner.
Inside, metal ceilings from FURAL ensure pleasant room acoustics and a high-quality environment for patients and hospital personnel. Some 6000 KLG hang-in tiles in RAL 9010 pure white have been installed. The tiles in perforation Rd 1,8 - 21 % with bonded black acoustic fleece ensure optimum spatial acoustics in the corridors of the ultramodern hospital. All built-in components, such as lights, vents and sensors, were integrated ideally.
