The “Gerencia Informática de la seguridad social“, the data processing centre of the Spanish social security services in Madrid, was recently able to adopt an impressive new headquarters. The cubic building complex was designed by the renowned Spanish architect López Fando. He placed great importance on the function of the ceiling. Alongside the optimal acoustics, the hinge down function requested in particular made special solutions necessary.

FURAL convinced the building owners and architect with a combination of strip grid ceiling and SWING system. The tiles were installed with dimensions of 1,100 x 1,100 mm over an area of more than 20,000 m². Every tile comes with a centrally positioned light fitting.
